It's not the shadows that lurk in the hollow, dark areas, where mismatched corners meet; nor is it the shoes so perfectly placed at the foot of the bed we shared; and pray, don't let it be the darkness in my heart where love so brilliantly glowed . . . but, it is. And not because love has tarnished, or dulled. It is because there is a death in this family, and though I die with every second, of every day . . . it was not mine. © wesley james beard, jr. Anguish seems to be your forte my friend. You evoke it so well with simple words that create powerful images. Sorrow on... ~L |

love the way you ended this one. James. That is exactly what the death of a loved one feels like... you, yourself, dying a bit more each day. Michael |
