This is a repost but I like to post it every spring as I remember the inspiration. . From where I stand I see the thaw and on the forest floor the sun upon the glowing crust is glistening bright and pure. Upon the rolling marbled hills the glossy snowdrifts ride. There is no place nor earthly thrill like springtime greenwood life. A musty scent is on the air, I lift my head and breathe. Out of the sky I seem to hear a calling on the breeze. The sound of God and life and wild, the sound of earth that grows, out of the wind that whispers by the sound of trees that moan. I know just why it is I care, I bend my head and pray. I cannot lock them in my heart these tear drops on my face. true love never looks after it's own interests |

Oh boy, something hidden within the words of this poem. Something which brings tears to your cheeks . . . quote: This is telling. A death . . . A love lost . . . Something . . . |

In South Africa, spring and autumn slither into summer and winter, and even our summer and winter (in Durban anyway) aren't very different, and there are so many joys that this brings, but, as a result, I don't know distinct seasons, except through the words - mostly poetry - of others, and yours is a lovely example. I felt your word-gift from the top of my head down to the soles of my feet and back to the depth of my heart and the pathways of my soul. Thank you. |

Love spring, and lately it's been near perfection . . . but s-u-m-m-e-r is right around the corner and I'm not particularly looking forward to it with the same regard... Enjoyed, my friend. j. |
