If there is one thing I cannot tolerate it is intolerance. Granted, a line must be drawn for the forbidden and the taboo. Civil society needs its mores to survive. However, live and let live, let sleeping dogs lie and to each his own seem to get trampled on narrow minded paths. Intolerant minds are: Minds that believe happiness comes from changing the world to suit them. Minds that fear what they do not understand. Minds that refuse to accept reason or have compassion. Minds that believe they already know what they need to know. Intolerance doesn’t walk a mile in another man’s shoes. Intolerance won’t be his brother’s keeper. Intolerance forgets that if not for the grace of God there go I. LGR©3/5/15 |

Can't deny any of your points, Lori. I agree with Blues. ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

I just love the opening paradox, or is it an oxymoron? It was a long time ago when I sat at a school desk. You have hit the nail on the head: tolerance by all. If only! If only such a seemingly-simple thing could be achieved, there would be global peace tomorrow. However, I feel your opening three lines are very profound, and prophetic. |
