When we have succumb to the passage of time, and nodding in our weary heads-- take heed, and rest upon my breast, for even though we would be grey and old, alas my heart would beat the same. Yes, I know the future has not been laid beneath our feet’ for we have yet to place it. And slowly in my hands do I have the abilities to stir what we grow, and change, and crumble, for we all crumble under the pressures of an existence uncertain. i’ve already laid down the payments to rebuild what shall fall, the payment paid in full. It is easy to lie’ and say I love thee so, it is also easy to die’ without an answer to the whole, but I need neither both to condense my feelings into the form of meaning. I gather these thoughts as if I knew them from a time long ago, before I was what you see before me, what is this meaning of love? i’m not fond of a single word-- because I am more than metaphor, more than that taming of the heart by words along of promises and dreams. I feel lost within meaning. And ye ask me be I man, or boy, or soul. I do not know neither or either or just-- what it is that any relation is to the form of connection to an experience outside of the body in the form of a word, but I will say this to the question, I am the one who stays. |

I like this. I like the way you took the broadness of a thought and distilled it into the completeness of your last line. ~L |

You touched upon reincarnation in the fifth verse, and I have come to believe in it, better that than the fairy tale i was brought up to believe in. I absolutely love this . . . quote: ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

I like this one. Especially, 'I feel lost within meaning' -- a great line in exactly the right place. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |
