Raining in Wonderland It's raining in wonderland this morning and I miss you like an arm and a leg my eyes are blind to every sign, every warning everything I ever see these days seems so grey well you left a crater shaped like your body here in my empty bed and seven million drunken angels are circling around my head it's raining in wonderland tonight and I miss you, I miss you like a crack in this egg so white Hanging 'round on the cobblestone corner talking about the contrast of black on grey twenty miles out of Denver, I wish it could be warmer every time I tie myself up in rope bloody and frayed well you left soft lines of depression weather in my desaturation eyes and oh so many scattered pigeon thoughts of the lows and highs it's raining in wonderland today and I miss you, I miss you like sunshine in the month of May Alice, oh sweet Alice your eyes scar this city blue and blue through and through I need a witness but I'll get to you if you'll open the door I gotta know just what's in store in a heart clung to the morning edition newspaper sky well I am the savior, the blood that runs through every nice guy finishing dead last, my poems scattered like rain on the mast and it's the rain in wonderland that makes me see that I miss you, I miss you like the dreamer misses the dream Still it's raining in wonderland this morning and still I miss you like an arm and a leg my eyes are clueless and on the verge of storming everything I ever love runs ghostly in memory vague well you left the aftermath of an atomic bomb here in my empty bed and seven million drunken angels have all left me for dead it's raining in wonderland tonight and I miss you and I'm sorry for turning out the light yes I miss you, oh I miss you like a crack in this egg so white So white and so grey Alice I miss you every day it's raining in wonderland this morning off with my head, the queen of hearts has been played still I miss you now, I miss you now like an arm an a leg "He turns his money into light to look for her" - U2, 'Lemon' |

I love this. I am often yawning by the end of poems this long but you held my attention. I like the lines you chose to repeat with a twist and your word play I found creative and refreshing. Even though the tone of the poem is downhearted it is not overwhelming and suffocating. ~L |

Excellent poetry about missing some one. Its sadness was very apparent, but throughout the poem was an undercurrent of a bit of lightheartedness. They worked well together, this odd mixture. ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |
