A Place Where Sadness . . . Is It began in a miniscule corner of the universe, on a world all green and blue, on a continent, one of the last discovered, in a country of 200-plus years, in a state, so much younger than that, in a city, in a house, in a room, in a corner between two windows, in a spot on the floor, in the middle of a circle of blood, in the wail of a new born whose mother had died in birth. Life. And I live today because it began. ~ ~ ~ I learned, through the years dying was what others did, not I. It never occurred to me that time would eventually pass me by, that I could die, but when death came I was there . . . waiting, and he took you instead. And I still live, spend most of my days kneeling before the rickety, weather-beaten cross, here in the cottonwood’s shade . . . waiting. . . and When death comes, he’ll find I already died, I’ve been dead since he lifted your soul, since he left you lying motionless, pale, waiting only to become earth again. He'll find me here just as I was those many years ago, wailing . . . wailing, in a corner between two windows, in a spot on the floor, in a place where sadness Is

OMG! Jimmy! I think this is one of your best pieces! You rip at the heart strings and then wrap them around again and give them a jerk and circle round again and yank again... It is perfection the way you have tied it all together in a painful little package. Brilliant work my friend! ~L |

So tremendously sad, dear Jimmy, but masterfully rendered feelings. We are fragile, yet also amazingly strong throughout our existence ... many questions, too many maybe remain without answers. If we consider that we come from Love and can accept that we move through life accompanied by that Love, then we can find peace, also in the thought that Love has no end ... it is ... it is forevermore. Oh you see you made me ponder and that is always a very good thing! Love, Margherita |

You write of loss, in the most understanding and sympathetic context. Interesting dialogue between the heart and soul. |

Oh wow! So heartbreaking, you have penned this perfectly Jimmy - the sadness obviously is still so very raw Love is the life of the soul... |
