Lips so blue Cold shroud no warmth in you The stench of reapers breath That suffocates my brain Those Dark shadows that linger Where there should be none And could it be my time None too soon those few that say And will I see another dawn Or take my flight like blackest rook A chill that runs an icy brook Lips of blue seek one last kiss Behind the lids my eyes still wander And with first light my soul has gone Short time on earth my time is done |

Extremely melancholic, dear Michael. A very different poem than your usual ones, even though excellently written as we expect from you. But then we all have to cope with such experiences sooner or later and we are in the grip of sadness for the unknown that hovers upon us. Some say we decide our time to move on, but we can't fully understand it in this dimension. May there be light and healing. Margherita |

This feels sad, but I can say it expresses a wistful resignation to the eventual fate of leaving this life, but with no regrets for living it well. good write. |
