sometimes the dark oozes sodden spots on my soul of repentance dipped in ink like concealed drops of precipitation a blurry dust bin of anguish ahead of the marching storm clouds soaking up everything I call mine ©January 25, 2015 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

Or maybe get a cat. They love to snuggle and their purr not only healing for themselves. Mine likes to be on my chest so I reckon he's healing my heart. Can relate to your words, Jerry. |

Your words are most profound. Your metaphors are outstanding. Speaking for myself, darkness has been a part of my life for so long, coming and going as it does, that if it left me forever, I would probably feel incomplete. It has just become a part of who I am...like my glasses. As for myself, accepting it for what it is-a passing pain in the heart, makes it tolerable. My head knows there is a light at the end of the tunnel even when my emotions don't. It is okay to feel how you feel, even when it sucks. ~L |

Hi Lori, thanks for the hug. I agree with you about feeling incomplete if the dark left forever. I have dealt with my dark, like you, so long it is a part of me. My dark is not as profound as is yours, but it is profound enough. ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

That is really a powerful description of the luring darkness, dear Jerry! "Sometimes" the light plays hide and seek and our longing becomes painful. But as Lori says, we know there is an exit in the tunnel ... and we always find the way back into the Light. Hugs. Margherita |

When you're right, you are right, Margherita. Plus you are right the biggest part of the time. Yep, there is always an exit, it is just that there are times when we loose sight of that exit for awhile. Thank you for being here. ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |
