    A Moment of Peace

Silent, soft, and slow falls
   the gentle snow,
from Gaia’s Winter cloak of
   boundless clouds,
to mask all follies and
   schemes of men
in a cotton-white mantle
   of finest dreams
and assuage the saddened
mind, broken heart, and
   troubled soul
as Time stands still in
this moment of blissful
    peace

I could see the falling of the snow as I read this. Slowly covering everything in white, softening the landscape and how it can deliver us to a place of peace.

In my mind, there is nothing more peaceful than watching falling snow. A beautiful write. Thank you for the moment of peace!
Maybe if it snowed in places like Syria, Afghanistan and other mid-east countries where there is conflict, we could have peace!! ❤️
