She caught her breath, never realizing she’d been holding it, waiting on something that would never happen. She wished, in her instant before breathing, that she could have made it be different. |

Thank you my friend, My greatest regrets are for the early years with my daughter as I see the repercussions of the abusive relationship with her father and how differently she was raised than her two older half brothers. |

So true. It wasn't so much the wish to change that made me write as it was the realization of the moment when I made the wish and caught my breath. I pondered the possibility that other wishes were made holding one's breath. |
