 listen . . . the wind is fierce hear! the swamp is filled with the sound of the wind whistlin' through the Cypress trees close the damn door it is cold . . . out there even the sound of the wind feels cold January in the Louisiana swamp frigid, artic cold has marched in taking no prisoners stand by the window and listen can't you hear it the downloading immensity of winter establishing its dominance over everything everybody ©January 8, 2015 / Jerry Pat Bolton "MAGICAL," a novel co-authored by Jerry Pat Bolton and Jane Noponen Perinacci Elin Saari has lived with terror no woman should ever have to endure. Well, dear Jerry, you described this "sound of Winter" so vividly, that I actually shivered. ... But I love Winter (of course when I can come back to a warm home after facing the cold adequately equipped). Too many still suffer cold for lack of a roof over their head. A poem of great impact. Yeah you're right, Margherita. I well remember shivering and trying to get somewhere warm the years of my lost decades. I don't have much to give, but I faithfully give every time the Salvation Army puts on a drive to help their coffiers.
