One day, it is good to be self-aware, To know that we are on the wrong track, That the earth turns without you, From Michigan to Nebraska, Or of the moon in Peru, That the world does not include the poetry, The silence is a barley sugar You are prisoner of yourself as the winter Whatever you wrote, The grocer opens his shop, The secretary fills her files, With a seriousness Which takes you, you and your poems Over the ice-cold lake, beyond the hills Whose unique witness you are. When once we really know who we are and accept this knowledge, it begins to solve a lot of problems we thought we had before. Enjoyed, JO |

Very, very true, my friend ... and if it wasn't for the "you" in this piece - just think, none of what "you" witness, would be known. great piece. jimmy |

Wow, I love this outpour of yours, dear Yann! But no, though you may be right to a certain degree, being able of self-awareness doesn't necessarily mean to under-estimate yourself. You are a divine creation and as such your self-awareness must lead you to know that everything you do and create is of the utmost value and importance. Nothing is for nothing. And here I am always to appreciate your poetic offerings, which are always of excellent level. Trust me. Love, Margherita |
