      Love and Consciousness

Here in this vanishing corner
  of untamed wilderness
beyond the abject futility
of all the schemes of men
toward profit and deceit
through the relentless march
of seasons down the ever-rolling
years that compel our lives to dust,
there is nothing to grasp or gain
but the simplest truths of Nature
  and of self
as one approaches inevitably the
golden limit of one grand-lucid
epiphany with magnificent clarity,
that ultimately only love and
consciousness transcend all of
  space and time.
