Like a bed cover of black lace being flipped to fluff and fall even and neat migrating black birds swoop and land in formation blanketing open fields They turn power lines into black pinking sheared silhouettes In unison they take to the wing blackening the sky with flawless formations that lace against the dusky sky Once again lighting in fields to eat before covering trees for the night |

Marvelous poem, Lori. One of your very best. If they give you ruled paper write sideways. |

Thank you my friend, I've been mulling the vision over in my head for a few days, pondering on the black lace. |
