YOU ARE MY DESTINY 10 October 2014 You know my shadows and my sunlight, my tsunamis and my Everests, as I do yours. You found me and took me by the hand and invited me to take a walk with you along life’s meandering path. I smiled and looked into your eyes and that was it, for both of us, wasn’t it, my love? On our country walk, a butterfly rested on a stone, and you gave me your heart and mine melted into yours. We rested on a rock and splashed our bare feet in fun in a giggling, gurgling stream, and you gave me your soul, kiss-wrapped, and mine was yours in bliss. When I showed you the grace of a beautiful black mamba slithering away from us, you presented me with your trust, warm-glowing in the sunshine and so precious and revered by me and I gave you mine in return as my tears flowed in joy. You wiped them from my eyes with your tenderness and passion and I confessed how long I had been loving you. We have had our quarrels and I am sure there are many more to come, but we always bring balm to each other’s pain for we are one, and our hiccups and volcanoes are washed away in sweet-flowing forgiveness. There are no conditions. We love and that is it. Love never stands still. It is a living breathing thing. It grows or fades and ours quivers with elation as it blossoms in profusion with the blessings of time. We know not what rocks will cause us yet to stumble nor sunrises and sets, will bond us true and darkness-free, but we know in the depths of our kindred spirits, we will be together, in love, sempiterno, you and me. Thank you, Ida. It is great to be so happy. Martyjo, I don't see a new side of me in this poem, but thank you anyway. Owl |

superb "Romanticism" ... of the very many fine lines, I am most fond of: "Love never stands still. It is a living breathing thing." |
