Your amazing grace You answer my longing when You allow me to stand under the shower of Your living water. Immersed in the beauty of Your life restoring spring, Your every word transforms into a drop of love caressing my heart. Sometimes I feel like a withering flower without hope for a new dawn but just before I surrender to the grip of sorrow Your voice pours new life into my veins. You raise me up to new heights of perception, my soul dances to the amazing grace of Your heavenly vibrations. My whole being is attuned to Your sacred song eager to merge with Your essence for all the time to come. I would never want to step out of this celestial globe where I share Your perfect peace. Let me remain a little while longer in this blissful connection with You. You give me all I need to cope with life's challenges and when I shall open my eyes to what is waiting out there, I know my feet will touch safe ground. Deeply moved by Your amazing grace I will be able to go on, to share love and strength to hold fragile hands to heal cold hearts with a little touch of warmth. This is special. I am moved every time I read something like this. But even so, this is even more special. You have given passion to your life through His Amazing Grace. I respect that, and know it is good to, and for you. I am not a man of faith. Having faith is a wonderful thing to those who have it, I am quite certain of that. This was a poem about having that faith and I loved it. If they give you ruled paper write sideways. |

I have to ditto Michael's comment. You teach us (me) so much with your offerings so thank you for that. In my case I certainly can't say that I haven't been given the strength to cope with life's challenges and yet I still ask for that so perhaps that brings my faith into question? Have to think on that one. Love Helen |

What a loving comment, dear Jerry, thank you kindly, I really appreciate your words. Yes, I have received the precious gift of faith and I am deeply grateful for it. It is easy to believe when life is good to us, but there are times when we feel like drowning in midst of all the pain and terror that surrounds us. Then we have the choice, to not waver and go on trusting God, or to cringe and give in to fear. We are humans and those who never waver are rare. Our Creator knows our nature and He never tires to answer our calls for support. Thank you, dear Michael, for your kind and loving comment. The emotions of feeling One with our divine source puts us in an ecstatic state. Yet such peaks are not constant, though we try to act consequently upon the vivid memory. Once experienced we always yearn to be blessed again with that special gift. I felt inspired to write these words after such a precious moment during a religious celebration, which happens really rarely. It is more probable to feel very close to Our Creator in midst of Nature, or in a meditative state, or while we say a prayer within the stillness of our own four walls. Dear Helen, thank you from my heart for your loving kindness in replying. If my offerings bring some comfort or a spark of hope, I am blessed. I think our most appreciated prayer is that of gratitude for what we receive. To repeat our requests for strength and light is equally valid, I have no doubt about that. As I said to Jerry, I firmly believe that God never tires to listen to our requests for help. He loves it when we call out for Him. And He loves us beyond our imagination, independently of our “degree of faith” … we are all on a Path towards Him and sometimes our mind induces us to stop moving forward, to try sidewalks … and it's all for our growth. Thank you so much, dear Ida, I enjoyed your loving comment. It is a pleasure to share my thoughts. I heard a Priest say that too many words are not necessary, what counts is Love (St. Paul also gives the advice to not use too many words). But we are poets and how can we not put into words our emotions and share them? After all we respond to a strong inspiration, which is a precious gift too. Love and Peace to all. Margherita |

From the beginning of this piece,( I think I need to share this with friends, permission?): You answer my longing when You allow me to stand under the shower of Your living water. the joy from the Giver rains down drops of love, tenderness, strength, stamina... it's a spring or fall rain a former or latter rain that the Spirit provides lovely, Margherita! thank you for writing/sharing. Whether on the shoal or on the shore, I'll seek the lighthouse evermore. |
