Fireflies and Freedom Here in the deepening Summer twilight magic along the forest-meadow edge, where there are no clocks to bind the mind and steal the soul, this timeless slice of wilderness still sings, with a chorus of dancing stars and gentle moon, to the lonely mind and heart of fireflies and freedom, the boundless joy of love, and all that we shall never possess. --- b. e. adams (7/18/2014) |

Must be nice to have the clocks silenced for a time. Me, I am geared for watching the time unfortunately, even though I am retired. Liked the poem, as I do most of you, Bruce. ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

"and all that we shall never possess" You better that any of us can probably appreciate the joy of those unpossessable things like sunrises and sunsets. Well the truth be told (as you well know) nature itself. I found this poem to be very uplifting. Lori |
