I saw a monster entering through the window, with horns of buffaloes and a nose of elephant, teeth of cannibals and the ears of tapir, I hid under sheets and I stopped inhaling, the monster approached the kitchen, it ate all the fritters and mom scolded him, she said to me “never never you will read mister Sendak”, I am too much afraid that you too eat me one day, that you become a monster with horns of buffaloes and a nose of giraffe, as your father who this morning left me with the woman near-by, On horseback on a hippopotamus which learnt to cook in a bagpipe and to swim in a clock all at same time. |
