Super Moon above the Colosseum

*

Right after the curve
she appeared in front of me
so suddenly.
Still low in the evening sky
she looked so huge and bright.

She showed off
in all of her radiance
and captured me.
So close she was,
seductive and mesmeric.

With glorious dignity
she quietly moves forever
along her elliptical orbit.

Full Flower Moon
remained in my eyes for hours
and followed me in my dreams.

She showered me
with sparks of gold
and lilac blossoms.

She bent over the silent pond
and sipped at her own reflection.

We touched upon the Spring meadow
lost in mutual fascination.

Best rendition of the moon showing her stuff that I have yet read, Margherita. Beautiful verses, words, phrases . . .

Simply gorgeous!!! I was driving back from Louisiana that night... pulled over and texted a friend to watch for the moon... it was that beautiful!! And your poem definitely does it justice! *S*
