Only Then Only when the ground upon which you walk dries up and blows away, leaving you standing on a void of empty space, can you understand the emptiness of death. Only then . . . does dying become an option. And love, for all it's wonder and beauty and fulfillment, never seemed so far away, than now. Only, Only then, can you understand my feelings, today. ~ ~ ~ wesley james beard, jr. © april 2012 (note: this was actually written as a eulogy for a friend's mom, (I chose to not use it that way but wanted to show it's origination) and it would have, at the end, the following: Mom, You are missed far more than life itself. We love you ..., (name)... [This message has been edited by jwesley (04-22-2012 09:23 AM).] |

Great poetic reasoning. Angles from another perspective always stimulate and this does that. Eric |

No one could ask for a better eulogy, J, it is both realistic and has the otherness of death as its strong point.. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

You rendered the feeling of emptiness with great intensity here, dear Jimmy. Poignant. Margherita |
