morning sunlight shining, rising from linen horizon; breaking the bonds of moonbathed bodies and lamplit lovers her smile her breath her hair, everywhere (i love the cool fresh breeze of waking and that first ray of daylight) and her voice is like the early birdsongs... and the day brightens with the hour laughter and hopes and dreams and promises... chapels, and books, and little white townhouses... the new growth of spring blossoms from concrete city blocks boquets of the earth sprinkle petals at her footsteps as she passes by in holy white gown trimmed in delicate silver lace a lilly in my valley her face her scent my flower stars of the night sky reflect dimly that twinkle in your painted eyes when the silken veil falls to the floor and passion drinks of milky smooth skin my heart beat my pulse her lullaby our song and the circle turns one more time a week of days crammed in a blink of history and buried in the blankets of a lonely bed so i lie alone on a still, quiet pillow wrestling with old dreams and waiting for sunrise |
