love I love you I love you too love's lover; jealousy love can make a mild-mannered man crazy, schizoid and psychopathic love I love you I love you too love's nightmare; suspicion love sees treachery where there is none until you drive her away with your insanity love I love you I love you too love's death; machismo love sometimes can understand what will be lost unless it rights the sinking ship it is sailing ©March 23, 2012 / Jerry Pat Bolton If they give you lined paper, write sideways. "love sees treachery where there is none until you drive her away with your insanity" These words carry the weight of your poem on their shoulders, Jerry. All the other words in it are built upon the end word of that sentance...."insanity" Which will most always " drive her away" Good stuff...:-) "Poetry is an echo, asking a shadow to dance." |

Appreciate the read and input, Ice. Yeah, it is the never-ending story. What makes it so sad is that we never seem to learn from it. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

Hahaaa! And that, my friend is what makes, as they say, the world go round and round. Love conquers all! You can be imprisoned by it, or you can embrace it and take what seems good or bad about it and live. Or live without it. I think sometimes we make it too mysterious. Then it becomes a burden. But, a burden can be a blessing. And a blessing a burden... Sorry for the rant! Couldn't help myself. I've had three cups of coffee already. Nice write, Jerry! If love were simply just love, then it would be easy... it comes with a host of retainers and handmaidens though, that cloud the true intent. Well said |

The trick is to have the control and understanding to not go wild or crazy when/if it goes away one-sidedly. Enjoyed, j. |
