* * * listen it is raining now hear the sizzle of the day relinquihed as reluctant sigh surrenduring himself to night crazy moon astride him rides across the hidden stars and cries in triumph of the reconcile rosy red twilight amiss of nearly touching fingertips in loving longing listlessnes cicada sing the hymn as dirge acknowledging the day they pray hidden there within the leaves chanting dhildrens eyes away stay innocent "Go home and bathe" blow bubbles in the tub and pray before your feathered lashes fall together in the rapt enthrall in ponder of the history of what this day might have conceived fecund fraught fertility sprawled across the bed between linen sheets of comforting too eager for more restless days. Humans--they are grown this way-- kissed by mystery. * * * http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyC59VuGbMs |

Like the message of this one, Serenity. And, even as I write this in an early morning time it is still raining. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

This is the most beautiful lullaby I have ever heard (and yes, I heard it, along with the rain), Karen. Owl |

I love the sound of rain and the smell it kicks up from the earth and reading the first couple of lines in your poem brought that sound (and smell) right back into me mind. I like the night sky too, being an amateur astronomer, so you poem hit the right cord for me. Good poem and very enjoyable. |

"sprawled across the bed between linen sheets of comforting too eager for more restless days. Humans--they are grown this way-- kissed by mystery." Beautiful poetry! Great insight... *smile* Bri-bear...I sleep with a teddy bear--two, in fact. There is Bri-bear, who has been everywhere with me...from hospitals to Tennessee, Crowley, and? He comforts me so much I got him his own bear, a baby-bri-bear. And I don't mind if the whole world knows it. It rained a lot and I slept a lot. I heard the French Quarter lost power for a bit, and I'm sorry I missed that. It's interesting when that happen, candles, and a bit encouraged lock down, via unplugged music and spirited free drinks. I've experienced that a few times and it's really nice. I think I'm gonna try for more sleep now. I appreciate your time time and thoughts. My love to you all. |

Oh, Karen, that is just too beautiful. I adore teddy bears (have a pair of teddy bear slippers, the left one is Teddy and the right one is Bear - used to have rabbit slippers called Ambi and Dextrous, but they were stolen) and I when I see teddy bears and cuddly animals toys in a shop I want to buy every single one partly because I love them all and partly because I would hate any of them to feel unwanted. I just love that you gave Bri-bear his own baby Bri-bear! I bet they are the happiest teddy bears in the world. Thank you for making them so happy. Where does the Bri part of Daddy Bri-bear come from? Owl |

Brian. and I am thinking of ordering these for my daughter's birthday--she loves psychology, and when I saw them I thought I was seeing things: http://www.uncommongoods.com/product/freudian-slippers Isn't that just the cutest thing??? |

Thanks for the explanation, Karen. I should have thought of "Brian", duh! Sorta did momentarily, but discarded it immediately and forgot all about it because it seemed to easy to be the answer, lol. Yes, the Freudian slippers are very cute (for being based on a mere human, lol!). Love the write-up on it: "Slip into a pair of Freudian slippers for the ultimate foot therapy session. These plush, comfy slippers will keep feet cozy and supported, and Freud's red tongue will wiggle when you move your toes. Now all you have to do is lay down on the couch and talk about your childhood. Made in China." Owl |
