Spinning circles bending rhyme stretching from the mark in time when darkness reaches balance point with light; when Rabbit pads her nest again, ever sacred has this Sabbat been clothed in sheen of gossamer and green; anoint with dragon's blood in offering, strewing herbs for Faerie welcoming violet, lemon balm and lavender, tansy, nutmeg, rose and orange rind; mark eggs freely coloring in shadow symbols' strengthening chosen to unwind our need braided in a labyrinthine of souls; chase the children ‘round in rings seeking treats the season brings, quick fertile Earth's awakening, as laughter's flowered petals soft unfold; let fortune bring forth offerings, Eostre's gifts of living Spring, welcome yielding without coveting none tainted by hunger's taste of greed. ©2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 by icebox |

Probably the best poem about Easter and all that goes on and something that have already went on, that I have ever read, Ice. Kickass poem, man. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |
