Thor

He carried a thick paperback
He liked to read between the lines
Said acting was his hobby, after baseball of course.

I'm a poet
I write to music
The melodies in my soul
Isn't everyone, he jested.

His piercing eyes smiled, lingered, wondered
He took my hand
A gentleman, proper
Smiled again, then released me
Only to tighten his grip
Until I looked up
To meet his eyes and smile back.

His hammer strikes, at the enemies of humanity...strong and verile...lightning, storms, and oak trees cannot bring him down..
But he cannot turn away, from the reflection
of his own eye pierce, from the eyes of one so lovely..

Only an ebony girls smile can bring him down.
