During Winter vacation I indulge my hibernation Inside my burrowed den of antiquity with smatterings of serendipity I wrap in fuzzy, furry stuff and cuddle down in pillow fluff I close my eyes with a smile and simply breathe for a while... “I sometimes think,” I say with impish wink “more often I snore its hard to ignore”. I take breaks to feed (doing my good deed) demonstrating affection for those under my care and protection With extra touches now that time abides I say you're loved by details to the sides A whole day I can nestle if the whole day before I did bustle about my burrow collecting all my fairy dusting from off of whims and prims to practicals in with all my mysticals and pieces of heaven The walls of my winter warren reach round and snug you plants seeking warm refuge hug you Colors calm and excite a snowdrift's reflecting light Warmth in a golden shaft absorbed by a golden cat I cast half open eyes about remembering tales of trees hollowed out into little homes of nook and cranny and rocking chairs with a Granny Or perhaps a burrow deep where in beds under blankets they all did sleep There is always a pot on the fire in this home of heart's desire from my Wee One imagination books and animation I doze off in my childhood contents and days of innocence peaceful without care Not unlike a hibernating mother bear LGR(C)12/27/13 |

Luminosity sometimes you just have to take a sick day when you aren't, to stay healthy. I'm fortunate in that I won't go back to work until Jan. 6th. This really is MY vacation. I so have every intention of enjoying it. Lori |
