There are Echo's within my brain Try as I might I cannot quell; Sometimes its such exquisite pain, Just this side of Heaven, near Hell. My Echo's inform me to heed Things which are not needed; destroy, I've learned to accept Echo's read To clear my mind to only joy. Echo's are my conscience I've found, They shine alone without a glare, Without them I'd have surely drowned, Sank to the bottom in despair. ©June 28, 2013 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~*~ Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull-strong. ~*~ |

sounds like you are in tune with your innermost angst and can be your own antidote to anything negative that is thrown your way |

Emma, I have survived much in my checkered past, and I think I am capable of handling pretty much anything coming my way. Thank you so much for stopping by and saying nice things, it is appreciated. ~*~ Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull-strong. ~*~ |

Echoes act as reminders to accept what has been and what we can't change. They rise from our book of life and as you say they require attention to be released maybe also in gratitude for things that have passed. Your in-depth rendering is powerful. Margherita |

Margherita, I look forward to your thoughts when I post, as I look forward to poems of yours I get to read. The Blue Room, not too many of us hanging around like it was when I first joined. Can't recall when that was, but it was sometime in 2009 I think. ~*~ Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull-strong. ~*~ |

Hi Lori, thank you so much for your thoughts. Yep, sometimes if you drift too close to Heaven, it can start to feeling like Hell. Your comments always make me think. ~*~ Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull-strong. ~*~ |

I think those echo's can save you or destroy you, depending on how you learn to handle them. Life seems to be one long lesson. Ida |

You are so right, Ida. Echo's conscience, whatever you call them can be our friend or our worst enemy. I've conquered mine, and now I am just hunkering down. ~*~ Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull-strong. ~*~ |

I like this. Echo's conscience....something to ponder on. I ignore most of my echos, cause you know - I kind of like my sanity. I don't think I'm ready just yet to listen to what they have to say. Enjoyed. -Trina |

That's one way of looking at it, Trina, hell I lost my sanity a few decades ago. Thank you for reading and committing. ~*~ Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull-strong. ~*~ |

Thank you, luminosity for being here. In case you are wondering why I am commenting on your comment, I had a problem with the username JerryPat2 and made up a new one, but now the problem is fixed and I am back to my old self. ~*~ Your past is just a story.
