MY MADIBA
12 December 2013

I have no words for you
only sobs.

The immensity of you
and the ruptured grief of me
hold me speechless.

I have no messages for you
in all the places
I can leave them.

I have no thoughts,
no opinions,
no expressions of acclamation,
nor of grief,
nor of appreciation,
nor of thanks.

Forgive me if I cannot
celebrate your life
yet.

I have no words for you,
yet,
only gasping, body-shaking sobs
my beloved Madiba.

Owl

He touched hearts around the world and we are all poorer at the passing of a truly good man. I know the loss is even greater for you and your countrymen - you have my sympathy.

You are so right, Ruth.  Thank you very much.  On top of everything else he was completely human.

Nelson Mandela truly embodied the change he wanted to see in the world. His light will continue to shine within the hearts of those who have been enriched immensely by his existence.

Peace.

Thank you, Yann and Amaryllis for your compassionate support.  Yes, it takes a lot to rob me of words.
