Anniversary by martyjo Anniversary We married on this day in nineteen forty eight. Now I am left alone to celebrate. So many years ago, and yet just yesterday. The end came much too soon, To say goodbye. Now that we are apart. It matters not, He is still lingering within my heart. Not sad, just a little melancholy.. best martyjo. |

I loved your poem, martyjo, and although it must still hurt you can remember the good days, and I know you do. ~*~ If we are what we eat, she's fast, easy and cheap. ~*~ |

When it is time to leave us for what ever reason we have to accept it and store the love and memories. I have many/ Thank you all for stopping by and sharing a bit of my day.Jo |

latearrival - Memories often keep us alive. They are that inescapable part of the heart designed to navigate us through our lowest moments. What would we do without them? Keep the faith martyjo. Namyh |

"He is still lingering within my heart." And that's the main thing. A beautiful and touching poem, Martyjo! |

ponderthepoetorrsx,Yes, happiness brings along with it precious memories. Any that might not have been happy, seem to have dissolved somewhere in the mist. Thank you for your reply. Jo |
