Wisdom of the Forest Above these ‘endless’ hills and silver, frost-tipped trees a few ragged cloud orphans play across a cold, bright, indifferent Winter moon and star-dipper sky, vanishing along the eternal event horizon of ‘Deep-Time’ passing. Here, I rouse my lonely evening heart for there is so much yet to learn along a thousand traceless paths in this empty midnight forest; and I would never trade a moment of the wisdom in this luminous ‘now’ for all the riches, fame, or vain, fleeting glories in the dark and ever-grasping world of men. The future lies distant beyond all imaginings, and from the past, I choose to remember only love. --- b. e. adams (12/5/2013) |

Ahhh . . . Excellent poetry my friend, to remember love with all its nuances is such a wonderful feeling. ~*~ You can't start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading the last one. ~*~ |
