All dead leaves and drifting clouds have blown away. The birds have vanished from the Wintry twilight sky. We lean alone together these bare-bone trees and I, in this ancient, silent ‘endless’ mountain forest until only the trees remain. Amid a thousand desolate mountains and glowering clouds of bleak November suddenly a snowflake and then another youth, age life, death good, evil here or there truth and transformation lie at the center of things Leaning on my walking staff I watch the waves and ripples play in random arabesques no more ‘real’ than I frigid moon glistening white somewhere a night bird cries leaves, clouds, and mountains all become tangled in the Wintry blast misty mountain legions marching row on row one old road runs through Winter beauty and Time --- b. e. adams (11/29/2013) |

I wish I could hang the wintry canvas that comes to mind when I read this on the light blue wall in my house. Ida |
