This man stood up to the Russians,

It is too many new ideas, it is too many shots,
It is too many hopes for a generation,

Thanks for this.
You gave me the stimulus to write my own piece.
I was not interested in poetry at that time - poetry seemed to be only about dead poets being re-interpreted by naive young profs and I was turned off to it. Too bad for me - I missed a great deal.
Having somehow avoided this topic for all this time, it is probably well that you managed to push the "on" button for me.
I guess I needed that - thanks.
