I glean thoughts from cobble rocks Where since hence ceased lives Once walked, talked, stood. Still... my mind filled full To wonder what was Strange how rocks talk Like the elderly, slowly Saying only what is meet Whispering Wears of warn words bidding us adieu "Striking thoughts make my mouth thunder as I brain storm." |

I like the mood...the essence of this piece. Reminds me a bit of "The Pity of the Leaves", by Edwin Arlington Robinson. Look it up. You will know what I mean. CG |
