One Moment of Your Love A brief November gale drives shredded clouds past a shimmering silver-saucer moon and stirs this cold forest in a final rain of Autumn leaves, as a thousand barren trees shadow-dance with a memory wind through these ancient ‘endless’ hills of Winter calling. Here, the mind brims Zen clear as these woodland waters … that our final destinies and destinations remain uncertain. How many seasons of light and dark until we reach the very end ... yet of what great matter now is the sum of all worldly fears, cares, and losses against even one moment of your love? --- b. e. adams (11/3/2012) |

The loves of our lives. That could be the name of a soap opera. Heck, maybe it is. Still, the loves of our lives are forever etched into our memories. And they are all special. ~*~ Who remembers Pete Best? He was the drummer before Ringo Starr ~*~ |

Love your poem, Bruce! Especially the ending ) "yet of what great matter now is the sum of all worldly fears, cares, and losses against even one moment of your love?" Indeed! |

And so too, if only one moment of that love seems threatened, then we cease to see all that is beautiful around us. Lori ![]() |
