She was blonde
shoulder length
cream, skin
and a smile that rivaled the nights scent
She was majestic
but at first, it was like a slow melancholy

At second glance,
there was a bit of intrigue
so I undressed the curtains from the bar
and began a dialogue
albeit with the drunken man next to me
fast lines, rubbish
but in-between his polite back and forth
we found out a little bit more about one another

Even if winter is a safer bet
for she is taken
I am still smitten
one can dream,
as futile as it may seem
Its the dreamer that succeeds
if he is to take a chance and reached for her hands sublime creases,
garnished in cream.

Maybe dreamers are the sanest.
