Can't hide The Light Someone told me The sun was overrated For he loves the cover Of the dark of night No matter how hideous He thinks his form No matter the pain That causes him to morn The fear he cast On passers by It's out of heart He chooses to hide He feels to much So clings to gloom Afraid of hurt If he were to be kind But the shadows of the night Can't hide the light That dwells within His mind Connie McDonald Copyright@2002 May 16, 2002 |

I don't know that I have ever read you before, Connie, but I'm liking what I read. Ida |

Connie, the light of your poem, so beautifully expressed, like the light in his mind (and heart), displays so exquisitely the light in your own heart and soul that can’t be hidden either. I see that you wrote this in 2002. I hope his life changed since then. Owl |
