Now, I Worry I worry that my tributes to the living will be used one day for their passing. That just sucks. I once wrote poetry, which I really haven’t done for a long while, lately, but when I wrote it prolifically, as folks would say, I wrote it for purpose, and light, fulfillment and loving care for others, always others. This is the part of getting older that I do not appreciate. My family, leaving me; my friends, leaving me; and yet I know this is part of that damned destiny we all suffer. So now I worry, that I will write a tribute for a friend, or a poet which may one day be turned around and be used as a eulogy…and I want my poets and friends to live enjoying life being free being glad and I am afraid I may never write of them again lest I use that very poem one last time. © 9-30-13 KRJ |

I understand these concerns, dear lady. But... I feel that the joy we give someone when we let them know what they mean to us is a gift we'd regret not giving. So write your love, write your respect, write your admiration... and hope they're with you for a long, long time, basking in the knowledge that they're truly appreciated. Beautiful write! |

I can relate, Karilea. I have attended a lot of funerals lately. Ida |

Ladies, my friends....it all boils down to, and equates to giving flowers and comments when those you love are still living. I just have felt, lately, that too many are passing way to early for problems they never brought on to themselves; and others, yes, maybe they didn't live the best lives in the beginning, but turned around, and then stress...damn stress, stole them away from us. Forgive me. I am in mourning, for many. I appreciate each and every one of you. |

It's just so, as you say so well, dear Karilea. Those words for a loved one or a true friend can also bring comfort to those who remain behind, when the moment of transition brings apparent separation. So, dear Karilea, write on, tributes and non, just write your love always. (once I made a research on google and found one of my poems, "My Angel", used several times in those Obituary sites where people can leave a comment for a loved one who passed on. I was surprised, but if it brought a little comfort, than it's good isn't it!) Love and hugs. Margherita |

Yes, Margherita. It will always be okay if our words in some way can bring worth, and love, caring and knowledge of how others lived. The transitions in our lives can be consuming; but I know in my heart, I will always hear certain voices in my head when I visit these blue pages....and especially our beloved archives, and our remembrance pages. Thank you, James, for reading. Write something new for all of us, please. |

You have me pondering, and I do love that. Much enjoyed this Karilea. ![]() It is difficult to think of this sometimes, and I agree with the thought that it is best to let people know today how much they mean to us, for we have no guarantees that we will ever have the chance tomorrow. ![]() Best wishes and hugs, /Kit |

I keep thinking that tribulations will pass, but in the end it is just my perception that changes. I think when I encounter death in my world, it feels unreal. It's part of life, but I never get use to it. I just want to keep all the good things and never let go. I am greedy like that. Juju -Juju |
