Black Hearts

I cannot
comprehend
the black hearts
of those that spew
profanity
wrapped in purposeful
painful jargon
solely intended
to deeply wound
Repeated attacks
unprovoked andunanswered
continue
and spread
as the victim's
number is given
out of spite and malice
Acting with impunity
or so they think
themselves invincible
not to be held accountable
for their hate mail
The tide has changed
and toleration
gone
Too many young lives
cut short by their own hand
Society has spoken
and taken a stand
The black hearts' plan
has a flaw
It is now against the law

You posted this while I replied to your other poem. And yes, it is now considered a crime and is punished.

But you see, it's just as Jesus said it ... they are already punished because they suffer the great pain themselves of being unloved. If there will be reeducation there might be a chance to make them aware of their horrible behavior.

But what counts is that we learn to DETACH from those venom charged arrows.

It is the slimy hands of the idle who only want to reach out and stab repeatedly hearts whose lives sometimes are on the edge anyway. Far too many of the stricken victims suffer in silence.

You are right as always. And I know how this "perfect storm" formed. It is all part and parcel of the chain of abuse. The sick results of control and manipulation.

Jerry you are right, my daughter has gotten this kind of stuff from this person before and not said anything. I took her phone away and found out what was really going on and she could identify who it was. Too bad the girl is 18.
