Banished to this icy realm.
Devoid of life’s sustenance.
Struggle to draw a breath.
In frozen tendrils grip.

If but word from you.
The sun may shine again.
From this frozen icy tomb.
A heart may beat once more.

The heart, as we all know, is fragile, and when left to contemplate of things gone wrong it can indeed feel like a blast from winters worst has come to live there. I like this Dakota.
