THE KEY IS IN THE DATES
25 September 2013

It’s all in the dates . . .
String together them
in chronological order . . .
the dates on which my poems
were written and declared
in spilled blood
and bubbling joy
in wrenched tears
and savoured ecstasy,
and wham!
you have the autobiography
of my trembling heart and stalwart soul
and whispered thinking.

This is so very true, Owl. It's amazing how our past writings can create a trail to document the journey we have taken. I love the way you captured this.
