I had a dream that I would write
A verse too beautiful to read
A verse that quenched the thirst of thirst
The love of love, the need of need

A verse that flowed like water
From my soul
And in its eloquence it testified
To all the joy and pain
I ever knew.
It was a dream of you

Before the dawn reached out its palest light
A flower bloomed from seed
And in the night
I wrote a verse too beautiful to read

Exquisite, Liz, it brought tears to my eyes . . . I hate to spoil things for you, though, in telling you that all your poetry is too beautiful to read - when I see your name, I hone in on your poem, knowing that what I will find is beautiful beyond beautiful.
