I was so alive

and breathed
and everything was so
vibrant and beautiful
exciting and wonderful

Like I had awakened
from a slumber
in which everything existed
but didn't
every day was real
but wasn't

Like I had lived in a room
where there was no laughter
no hope
and everything was the same

I was so alive – So Alive
with you

Until the coma
returned
