Been writing poetry for a while, I wrote of darkness few with smiles. Eh, rocked along from here to there, All my crimes I just had to bare. My poems were gritty, there I stood, Actually, I thought I was good. My chest stuck out, thought I was hot, But I've found out that I am not. I will admit its a let down, At least I hope I'm not a clown. But I'll go on, it's what I do, It's what I've found, and it is true. You save the best for last.. "But I'll go on, it's what I do, It's what I've found, and it is true." I have days like that, too, Jerry. I convince myself I write cacadoodoo. Come to find out, that instead, I'm full of cacadoodoo for thinking that way...and so are you. You write love poems that would melt a person's pants off. I rest my case. Lori |

Write for yourself, Jer. There's no one else out there you should be that worried about pleasing... well, unless you're trying to "woo" someone I suppose, but you know what I mean. Michael |

I so relate to this. Many times I want to kick my own butt after I post a poem that sounded good at the time |

This is a good reminder that we need to feel good about what we do, and not to worry about those who may be critical or negative around us. Thanks for that gentle and poetic reminder Jerry. These days, I like to filter out the negative, and just listen for the positive. I very much enjoyed this Jerry, and appreciate your talents. Best wishes, /Kit |

Thank you very much, Kit. I have learned pretty much to filter out the negative also. Still, sometime it gets me in trouble. ~*~ If they give you lined paper write sideways. ~*~ |
