REIGN OF THE EYEBALL I reign as the eyeball. I’m bathed by tears. Bright worlds I image for man’s mental gears to churn the depths where creative fractions give birth to ideas made whole by actions. Glands in my eyelid above me squeeze their salty flush that bathes me clean of wind, of dust and dirt injections each time I blink, each eye deflection. Though hearty laughter, anger and grief are emotions strong, they demand me release those glands when swollen liquid filled and erupt my tear gushing cascade spills to carry those feelings that make hearts stop to the exits of the Soul in each teardrop. They empty the body taking laughter with pain, love with anger and loss with gain and the Spirit is lightened and finds its calm at the crossroad of tears where the blood slows down, where the heart beats quiet and the lungs breathe air, where the Soul rests cleansed of its trembling cares and the light through me brings a clarity of mind where tomorrow sips Hope from the chalice of Time. And I reign as the eyeball, the collector of light and the ejector of tears in the day and the night. Namyh |

"To exist of the soul in each teardrop." You, Namyh, are one of those rare persons who view the entire world differently than the rest of us... and it's so very special to witness when you share that vision. You are a true poet. Keep sharing. Michael |

poeticallyg – Just when you think there are no more awesome concepts to write about, you find yourself in a doctor’s office reading a medical article on the construction of the human eye. After that, the poet in me took over and the poetic rest is eyeball history. Thanks PG for enjoying the ‘meat of the words’ Namyh |

Ahhh Shucks Mike – You’ve really caused my head to swell and now my hat doesn’t fit anymore and I thank you for your elevating words. I try to write it as I ‘see it’ and sometimes as I ‘want it’ and even sometimes as I ‘hope it’ but all with the intent that the reader sees it too, wrapped in a little poetry that maybe gives a smile on a day when it’s most needed. Thanks for spendin’ a spell and enjoyin’ Michael. Namyh |

Lori - Poetry has a very versatile voice to hear. It can make the heart feel faint, excite the body’s nerve endings, inspire an army to make battle and win victory and most of all put a big smile on this old poet’s face today who’s heard your lovely words. Thanks for enjoying this Lori and then some. Namyh |
