the fight memories that haunt and call leaving you in a hopless thrall swirling in the distant past hoping that they do not last shadowy scenes flashing by the burn of tears as you cry words thundering from deep inside make you want to run and hide you have to leave the dark behind struggle and fight until you find the balance that will bring you peace and cause the violent storms to cease that is when you can move on and finally find your perfect dawn new beginnings, a bright new day on a path of happiness you will stay. -- Used to be rosepetals25 [This message has been edited by rosepetals36 (09-11-2013 10:45 PM).] |

The balance you write of is indeed where we find our peace. A wise and wonderful message. Lots to be said for having the wisdom to accept the things we can not change. Enjoyed your poem, rosepetal. |

rosepetals - I believe this to be a poetic gem of inspiration. For those who have lost their way, it will be a beacon in the darkness and a key for those of us locked in our cages thinking we can't escape. You wrote it with great rhythm and rhyme. The talent shines through and I loved it rosepetals. Namyh |

Ahhh, leaving the dark behind is not such an easy thing to do for many. I understand your thought process here, and you are right, but it took me two many decades until I finally left my dark behind. I hope most people will not suffer the same fate. ~*~ If they give you lined paper write sideways. ~*~ |

Thank you all for your nice words! It has been a long time since I've written anything besides a haiku here and there. It isn't easy leaving the darkness behind. It took me awhile to be able to do it. I owe all to my little boy though. He is my light and definitely helps me remember what is really important: happiness and love -- Used to be rosepetals25 |

Inspirational writing here. They say it's all about the eyes... can't go forward if you're looking back, can't see up for looking down... etc. Yours are definately in the right place. Michael |
