~I wrote this in honor of the women that share their pain on paper so well they are often hard for me to read~ Ladies With their midnight inks Urn their emotions In sacred places Set like traps On paper Their baited lines Fish me in To their pathos Picking my lock Memories Repressed release Too pointed Too poignant Too, too intuitive Tentatively I taste Their manna LGR(C) |

Wish I could write like Michael. Some have it, some don't. ~*~ If they give you lined paper write sideways. ~*~ |

I'm glad you don't Jerry, I can read you any day of the week even when your poems make me cry. Your poetry makes me feel bad for you at times but it doesn't remind me how bad I feel about me. Lori |

I've known a few women who can bait me in with their lines, even though I can sense it won't end well... though I of course could never know how that feels from the perspective of a woman. Your sensitivity sets you apart, Lori. Michael |

Glad you liked the poem. Rather odd writing a poem to honor the writing of people you can hardly stand to read. LOL! Yes I am sensitive...I cry at cartoons... it is embarrassing. Bait? Hmmm... The Sunshine Gospel Poetry 101 according to Karilea: 1)The Title is Bait! (I gotta trick people into reading me.) |
