Against the backdrop of the wind western fork in the road lay a shadow just east of where she used to play with her father swing her small heels in the sky His hands on the grips of her hips like the swiss air that touched her skirt just above her kneecaps floral, cotton with his black hair still thick, slightly greying pushing her along the winds plight as she sat in his arms Those tiny arms legs the size of the roses shadow sitting on his lap with his eyes gazing down on her His stern legs held her close until the wind said it was time to say its farewell with her small floral dress now a full size strapless; cream walking down the isle as he watched her become a woman even if he missed holding her down where the prairie now sits idle |
