Flame So rare a moth, transluscent wings To tease the candlelight How close she dares near dancing flame What fate this coming night A shadow there upon the wall A haunting from the past And would the flame burn out too soon Extinguish life at last And there she sits so very still Moon shadows touching her What are the thoughts within her mind That make emotions stir And then the dark, burnt wax perfume The silence of her wings So will she fly or stay this day This dawn the answer brings |

Oh, the moth crisis is very well demonstrated within your excellent rhyming pattern. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

And then the dark, burnt wax perfume The silence of her wings So will she fly or stay this day This dawn the answer brings There indeed is the question... Very nicely done |
