Go on and go I won't miss your cigarettes and smoke your clothes left laying and dirt on the floor No whiskers stuck to the sink or coffee rings by your chair Don't worry about me I'm a big girl I'll do just fine all on my own So what if it doesn't feel like home and there is no one to share nightfall on the porch or kiss me goodnight Who cares if I make a pot of coffee for one I hope you have fun on your Harley without me and my girls pressed to your back I hope you see all our old places and think of me Each morning when you wake up I hope you miss your cup of coffee in bed So go on with you don't look back you have only two weeks and I can go next time Ride safe and Godspeed you back home to me and my empty arms LGR(C)7/18/13 |

You wrote your heart out in this one. It is there, touchingly, for all to see. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

I do love this, dear Lori, you may not miss a few minor things about him, but your heart and soul are with him and those minor things have no chance to overcome the deep longing. Love is also let him have some freedom ... no doubt. Very nice write. Margherita |

Thanks Margherita! He has been going to Sturgis for over 30 years, who am I to stop him? I get torn every year because my daughters birthday falls then and we always have to leave early so I can get back in time to go to work when school starts. This year is sweet 16 and I'm staying home. Lori |
