I got so much to put down before that's all she wrote. I got so much to give from a heart that's so broke. Who remembers me? After 14 years, yes. It's been that long. And I can only guess who really knows me, who really loves me. I have a silver butterfly and a sleepy sea. And half of you won't know what I mean the other half will think I have lost my mind but it's all that's pink and I'm just peachy that way. And I'm just ashes on the floor because I can't get it anymore. |

You and your poetry have always exercised great impact here on the blue pages, dear Dixie. And though I don't know about the silver butterfly that must represent a beautiful memory, I do love you. Great touching piece, this one too! 14 years is quite a span of time, for me it's ten years. A time that obviously has seen a lot of change, some temporary good-byes and some definite exits, which is sad really. But still there are many whose sensitivity and wonderful poetic contributions make these blue pages still a great meeting place. Love, Margherita |

. . . and the last two line is the kicker which gives me chills . . . Your unique way with words displays truth in such an unorthodox way. I love it. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ [This message has been edited by JerryPat2 (07-15-2013 10:57 AM).] |

This is a very poignant and beautiful poem, lovie. Like you chipped away marble despair to reveal a bittersweet completion of yourself. It's been a long trek together, has it not? *hugs* my new favorite from you |

Dixie...Not sure what all this means, but I do remember all the hard times you've had and the time when you first bared your soul to us here at PIP. Many years and tears have come and gone since then, but you are still a treasure to read...Paul ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ Paul [This message has been edited by Paul Wilson (07-17-2013 09:48 AM).] |
